USA // Brooklyn, NY

Formed two years ago in Brooklyn, Journalism have spent the interim refining their sound over a long string of underground shows, gaining notice along the way for what My Social List recently called a “glorious post-punk tone.” Their sound, featuring shimmering twinned lead guitars and a thundering, relentless rhythm section, tends to draw comparisons to Beach Fossils, Diiv, and even Television. Live, the band manages to sound lush, yet icy, with frontman Kegan Zema’s vocals at times drowning in a wash of guitars only to emerge clean, cold, and serene.
