Gypsy & Me is a Carolina-based duo bringing original Americana, Folk, Country, Acoustic sounds. They had a busy 2018, dropping two albums, and are continuing their ways in 2019 by hitting the road for their 14 Tanks Tour, starting February 1. You can see them before they hit the road at Mad Co. Bombassic is a local duo of producers that “create soulful, sexy vibrations that cause the body to groove and the mind to levitate” has just released a new EP “One Time for the People”. You can get your body groovin’ to their soulful, sexy vibrations this Saturday night (1/26/19) at the Asheville Music Hall where they will be supporting Desert Dwellers.
WRHCKD is an AVL based Punk Rock band that like to make noise. They have a new album coming out and are celebrating its release on January 28, 2019, with a show at everyone’s favorite vinyl shop Static Age records.
Amy McCarley is an Americana, Country artist out of Huntsville, Al, that has a new album “MECO” being released everywhere on February 8, 2019. MECO is Amy’s third studio release and you can hear her play songs off of the new album on January 30, 2019, at Isis Music Hall where she will be taking over the main stage with a full band supporting her.
Jesse Denaro is an Indie Rock Singer-Songwriter out of Pittsburg who just released a new EP “FIRE” and is playing at The Odditorium on January 30, 2019. The EP is the result of many years of hard work and it shows. His album is being released on The Vault Records, which is a super cool label that has an incredible studio (The Vault) in Pittsburg. Mayor Black, one of the leaders of the AVL Hip-Hop Rap scene, has a new single “Aint The Same” which features he and Yung Mucc together. Mayor Black is hosting a show at PULP on January 30, 2019, with performances by Scott Damage (who just released a new single), Amazing, Sache, Freedom the 10th Wonder, Siren XO and, of course, the Mayor himself.
Chaos Among Cattle, a AVL Metal band, that has been making waves here as well as in SC has a new single “Titan” that just dropped last week.
Po’folk, AVL Hip-Hop Rap artist had a busy week releasing a new single “I Did It All For You” as well as a new music video for his song “Pull Up”.
The Snozzberries, AVL’s own psychedelic funk-fusion powerhouse, released a new single this week entitled “No Evil”. They also just announced that they will be playing the Sweetwater 420 Fest.
Black River Rebels, a rockin band from just down the road in Greenville, SC, has a new single “Indigo Monster” that was released just after the New Year.
Another Rock n Roll band that has been in the studio is Prowess from Charlotte, with an album expected in a couple of months. You can see them live this Friday (1/25/19) at Mack Kells along with The Shrunken Heads, who are debuting their new drummer.
Andrew Thelston, a local rocker, has been in the studio working, and is about to release a new single “Aggressive Chemistry”. Check out his YouTube page for a preview of it. Andrew is playing this Thursday (1/24/19) at The Casual Pint.
